ALISON AND WALT

 

 

Alison and Walt’s story began about eight years ago at a karaoke night — the kind of unexpected, joy-filled moment that somehow turns into something lasting. What started there grew into a relationship built on years of shared memories, laughter, and truly doing life side by side. Nearly six years later, they made a big move together to the Washington, DC area, stepping into a new chapter of their story.


For their engagement session, they wanted something that reflected their personalities - a mix of cozy, playful, and a little adventurous. From the idea of incorporating their home and kitties, to exploring a classic, picturesque setting, and even bringing things back to where it all began with karaoke, their vision was all about creating a night that felt like them.

No engagement session is quite like Alison and Walt’s - because, of course, it included karaoke! Returning to where their story began years ago, they brought their playful, joyful energy into a private karaoke room. While waiting for the train, Alison and Walt made the Metro station their own little stage. The glowing lights, sleek lines, and urban energy of Washington, DC created a cinematic backdrop for their engagement portraits, turning an ordinary moment into something timeless.


From playful glances to quiet smiles, every frame captured their connection in a natural, effortless way. Even in a simple, everyday setting like the Metro, the combination of movement, light, and genuine interaction created images that feel both authentic and cinematic - a perfect reflection of their story together.

The night reached its most magical moment when Alison and Walt shared a kiss in the rain, the city lights shimmering behind them like something straight out of a movie. The soft glow of street lamps, reflections on the wet pavement, and the intimacy of the moment created a scene that felt effortlessly cinematic and utterly romantic.
